SAL Speed Logs

 

SAL Speed logs has been will give the ship owner a unique double function with only one penetration in the ship's hull.


SAL speed logs are clearly marked and meet all relevant requirements of IMO regulations, IEC standards and EU directives and are approved according to requirements of the Marine Equipment Directive (MED).




  • SAL R1a – One-axis water track speed log – measure speed through water (relative) in longitudinal direction (ahead & astern).
  • SAL T1 – Combined One-axis speed log and echo sounder. Measures longitudinal relative speed through water as well as bottom track speed in combination with water depth.
  • SAL T2s – One Axis Speed Log.
    Measures longitudinal relative speed through water as well as one-axis speed over ground.
  • SAL T2 – Docking Log / Dual Axis Speed Log.
    Measures longitudinal relative speed through water as well as two-axis true speed over ground. In combination with and external Rate-of-Turn Gyro a full docking log functionality is achieved.
  • SAL T3 – Combined Docking Log & Echo Sounder.
    Measures longitudinal relative speed through water as well as two-axis true speed over ground and water depth.
  • SAL T3+ - Combined Docking Log & Echo Sounder, intended for vessels > or equal to 50,000 GRT.
  • Conversion adapters – allow replacing old speed logs with SAL R1a
